Speaking of Community, what sort of advice do you have for surviving, let alone keeping sane, among the business politics in Hollywood? How do you deal with that stuff and has it ever negatively affected your career?

What finally got you there?

That's funny. I saw Patton interviewed for a thing in San Francisco a little while back, and he was asked what's the best way to get into standup and his answer was pretty great. He said to just get up there and do it. Until you can become comfortable on stage, in front of people, with a mic in front of people, you're not going anywhere.
