Or it just means a fuckton of memory leaks, which do nothing to increase performance.

And not everyone has a machine that is capable of taking 6GB of RAM, and even if they are, perhaps they don't want to drop the cash just to make a shitty browser run slightly faster. Or maybe they have a number of applications in use simultaneously, and they need some of that extra RAM for those applications.

Poor memory management is poor memory management, and deserves to be complained about.
