Awesome AMA! I have a couple.

  1. Some of the outtakes of Dirty Jobs shows Mike giving you guys a pretty hard time or insisting that some of the guys participate in whatever crazy thing he's doing. What's the most awful Dirty Jobs segment you were involved in?

  2. On the shows like Worst Case Scenario and Man/Woman/Wild, how much "real" stuff are we actually seeing? Does Bear actually hack up trees to make a ladder or a raft, or are materials brought in for him to work with? Also, do they really just find holes in rocks and spend the night there with a hand-held camera?

Thanks!

Hahaha. I was totally expecting an answer about whatever gross situation you were in, but boy can I ever relate. Humidity probably makes any dirty job a hundred times worse.

Huh, I never thought of it from the standpoint of production. That's a pretty interesting insight!

I have a follow-up that's semi-related. Are there any similar shows which you haven't worked on personally that, when you watch them on TV, strike you as staged or not authentic? When I see something like Dual Survival and the guys happen across an abandoned moonshine camp with a nice big tarp and stuff, it makes me go, "well isn't THAT convenient?" Just wondering if having spent the time behind the scenes as you have makes you less skeptical of something like that.
