Hi! I am a FOUNDER level backer and was wondering if my pledge will get me the version of the game (plus the in-game bonuses) that I want? I'm specifically looking for the VITA version. Also, are you going to make the game cross-buy for PS4 and VITA? Thanks and I'm really looking forward to the game!

Let's say a small handful of Vita owners... 10% (700k) buy Tearaway in the first year.

At $40 a pop that's $28 million. Not too shabby or a "waste of time" if you ask me. Tearaway has a lot of game mechanics that are just not possible on the PS3 or Xbox 360. The game just fits what they were trying to accomplish and they did it incredibly well. They also created an awesome new franchise and probably sold a ton of Vitas as a result.

I'd suggest getting a Vita if you don't have one. You can find one fairly cheap and there are a TON of awesome games. I'm still having fun re-playing MGS HD Collection and just finished The Walking Dead.

Haha, no rustled jimmy's here.

You should get a Vita, not even joking. I don't know why people brush it off as a "failure" or a waste of time. It's an awesome little console and with PS+ and the PS4 game streaming makes it an insanely cool little device. Maybe it's just me, but the indie games appeal more to me than what the 3DS is doing.

  • Tearaway
  • Persona 4 Golden
  • Killzone Mercenary
  • Uncharted
  • Gravity Rush
  • Guacamelee
  • Tales from Space Mutant Blobs Attack

Some others that I enjoy more on a handheld than on my PS3/X360:

  • Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
  • Walking Dead Season 1 (plus 400 Days DLC)
  • Rayman
  • Mortal Kombat
  • Injustice
  • Hotline Miami
  • Castle Storm
  • Urban Trial Freestyle (A lot like Trials HD)
  • Sound Shapes
  • .... plus a ton of digital PSP and PSOne games that I already own.

When the wife takes up the TV it helps to play the games I want while she's watching something I don't really care about.

You still paid $300+ for the console you "already own." It just sounds like you want to play it but are pissed that it's not on a console you have currently. And if you break it down the way you are... that's a silly argument anyway because you're factoring in that you'd NEVER ever buy another game for that console.

Look, I want to play the new Zelda and Fire Emblem, but don't own a 3DS and don't have the desire to plunk down $200+ for the system and games. I'm not going to get upset a the publisher for choosing to create their games on their platform of choice. It was my choice to get the consoles I wanted. I'm happy with my Vita and they keep making awesome games for it. I'm not going to break it down hourly because I don't measure my hobby into units of enjoyment divided by the entry fee. I just pay and play what I want when I want because I'm an adult.
