I lost a dear friend to domestic violence 2 years ago.
She tried to leave. Changed the locks, got a restraining order. He came to the house when he knew she would be alone. He shot and killed her then shot and killed himself. Thankfully, he did no harm to her children.
So my question is, how do you safely leave an abuser? We thought she did everything right. And she still lost her life.
