How big is the industry? I have only ever seen haunted houses on US TVshows and always wondered if they really are in every town, or if it is just the kind thing that is in big cities and the movies. Do teens actually go, or is it mostly families with young kids?

Yeah- as I read the story I had the same thought... like who would not just pull into one of the waiting bays? Why would a customer think that is even an option?

Very late to the party- but how do you find people to work for you in cities you don't usually work in?

As others have said- many pools have adult swimming lessons. At 19 you would actually be on the younger end. Don't expect to make the Olympics anytime soon, but also don't be afraid of building up some skills in the pool

Not op, but ai taught swimming for 5 years out of high school. Short answer: no.
Some kids find it a lot easier and some a lot harder. Adults learning to swim who have never done it before often find it hardest... but everyone can at least learn the basics, given time. It's all about working with the individual and acknowledging that everyone will get there in their own way.
