You're ignoring the fact that at some point, these people came here without being here for a while. So because they haven't gotten caught yet, they're okay? Where do you draw the line then? At what point does one "have connections"? If you manage to find a place to live and get a job? If you make some friends? Is there a time period? If you don't get caught for 6 months are you now safe? What you're saying is these people broke the law and are now living in our country undocumented, but because they've been breaking the law for a long time, they're okay?
