I worked as an L.A. for a Republican rep in the Florida house for a little bit, I have a lot of stories, but what I remember most was that in my first week I asked for clarification about an email from the party that was concerning a contentious policy position. I was immediately called out by another aide for being a liberal because I didn't understand the logic. I never made that mistake again as became aware of the unspoken rule that you don't question authority in the Republican party...unless its scientific or nerdy
