Are your front line staff any different than most retail workers? Are they required to know a significant amount about a variety of items, or is that left mostly up to management?

It sounds like an incredibly interesting job with a huge variety in daily interactions, I'm jealous. Want to let me commute from Illinois? My degree isn't doing me any good anyway.

I never understood this about successful business' customer service abilities. All scripting aside, AJL intentionally treats people like idiots to get a rise out of them for the audience. That's the same mentality as the 14 year old online "trolling" for reactions. Customer service means finding a mutually agreeable outcome to a situation, not making them feel inferior and attacked. I'm starting to rant, so, thanks for not running your shop like an asshole.
