True, although some designers do create their own designs. My gay Navajo uncle works in the fashion industry and loves incorporating Navajo art into his designs.

I am only half Navajo though and never grew up on the Rez so I never understood why homosexuals are "revered"(idk if that's the right word here) in Navajo society. Could you shed some light on this?
