Can sensitive hearing cause gastrointestinal problems? When I was younger, I had very sensitive hearing. I could hear very high frequency sounds, and that seemed to bother my stomach and intestines. I started getting colonoscopies in my 20s because I had mucous colitis and IBD. As I got older and lost hearing naturally, the problems became less severe.
