INCO (before Vale took over, I'm not sure about afterwards) won several awards for re-greening Sudbury. If you saw what it looked like 50 years ago you would have thought the moon landing could have been filmed there , save for the fact that sulfur has penetrated the rock face of everything. There are still burn piles west of Creighton mine that nothing has grown on in 100 years.

(They used to cut down trees and put ore on top of them so the crap (slag) would melt through and the precious metals would be left on top - hence burn piles)

INCO doesn't exist anymore. The Canadian government fucked up and allowed it to be sold to a Brazilian company - Vale.

Thank you. You're the only person who seems to see this. Working for a large electrical transmission company Wind & Solar are doing the grid more harm than good. We have to use Wind & Solar first, stopping hydro electric mostly. The only way Wind & Solar will work is if we have an asston of batteries with them to use the energy ON DEMAND - and right no we aren't doing that.
