My great uncle served in France as a jeep driver, and he was at Normandy and made it all the way across the Rhine before he was injured and had to be sent home. He said he never really saw the Germans themselves as evil, but rather the Nazis,and he had a respect for the soldiers fighting, my question is did you feel this same way about the people you were fighting? Steak is one of the most environmentally unfriendly foods we can eat. I'm not much of a meat eater in general, but I do enjoy the occasional steak. Do you think a change of diet in American culture will be inevitable with the times ahead of us?
