Thanks again. StablexUI looks like a really good start. The "Macro driven ui engine" approach is what i had in mind. It does not seem to provide databinding, and the xml probably wont support code completion, but hey maybe i can add something to it at some point :)

Thanks :)

Still i dont really understand why you invest the time to promote OpenFL, because well you could use it without a lot of active promotion for it?

Anyways i was looking into OpenFL for future projects but found some experiences that OpenFL/Haxe broke in "misterious ways" and just is not really ready for prime time yet unless you are willing to invest time in fixing the framework. But in the last days i found your article everywhere stating Flash/AIR as dead and OpenFL the way to go.

Another thing: I made an open source Stage3D accerlerated MXML Framework (https://github.com/TobiasHeidingsfeld/YMXML) because MXML is SO much faster/saner in defining GUI/Graphics for me then anything. Do you think Haxe/OpenFL could get something like MXML (a declarativ markup language)? At some point i was thinking about trying to create something like that myself with haxe macros (for databinding etc.). Do you think that could work?

Lastly whats the best IDE for Haxe? FlashDevelop?

Wow that became long.

Why do you invest so much time to promote OpenFL? Is there any financial incentiv?
