Not directly relevant, but have Amazon responded about scammer / hacked merchants at all? Seems to be, at least in the UK, hacked accounts with decent feedback.

A lot of them have the "before you buy please contact us via [email]" in the listings.

I nearly lost £400 on an UlraWide monitor (stupidly). Phoned Amazon who advised me to chargeback them via my bank as they would not cancel because they didn't see anything wrong (and then told me the item would be sent directly by them instead if the seller didn't, something that never happened).
