Out of curiosity, have your attorneys recommended that you STFU?

You should listen to them if you don't want to use one or two incorrect words that can hurt you in big ways. No matter how good it feels to spout off, you're ALWAYS going to shoot yourself in the foot if you end up in a courtroom and your vent posts are found. To go into the enemy's house and put those vents in writing is idiocy.

> Law enforcement is only entitled to use force against citizens if force is being used against them. They are only entitled to use objectively reasonable force.

I hope at some point during your visit with us, you can talk a bit more about where these standards are codified.

When I attended peace officer training to become a corrections officer, they taught "minimum force necessary to control a situation." That seems to be a thing of the past these days, but I am unfamiliar with whether to find standards in statutes, city codes, constitutional law, or departmental policy.

I'm thinking right now plasma donations could prove worthwhile for income for people who don't have disqualifying health conditions?

or disregard. They knew it wasn't safe and tried to push for opening day despite lingering questions. The belts holding riders in the rafts were velcro!

There was also controversy while it was being built because the labor being used was a company that used non-union labor and had a reputation for on the job injuries.

Eh....

I worked as a corrections officer for a max security men's prison and had a relative that died in prison for child molestation.

They're "hated" more in words than in actions.

The sex abusers are also the prostitutes that inmates pay for sex. They may end up in protective custody - a wing of their own where they don't interact with other inmates face to face. My relative never did, and while he did (willingly) become someone's "b*tch" that was the full extent of abuse from other inmates. His journals never mentioned anything else being done to him. (I inherited them when he died and the prison sent his belongings to me.)

I imagine it's different in different places, but that's my perception based on these experiences....
