How do you explain your sons medical difficulties to him? Are there support groups for kids out there like him?

I am an American and know of a young man from a village in Armenia who is in need of medical assistance.

I have been searching for an agency that might help him, but most orgs I have found only help kids or specific illnesses (i.e. Diabetes)

Do you know of alternate places/agencies/etc that I may contact to try to get him help?

I suppose the problem is orthopedic, as he is missing the ball joint on one leg, has recurrent infections from previous incisions, etc.

That makes perfect sense. A solution/reversal would be a much more pragmatic solution in the long run. It is very interesting to think about. As far as research, piloting, FDAa approval and the like, where do you think the timelines for each respective project would fall? Do you think a reversal is not far off? Or do you think the red tape to go through could stall one for longer than the other?
