POV in class was my FAVORITE. Nothing like the sheer humility of thinking it's a silent one and finding out your butthole felt differently about the topic.

As an actual mariner whose job every now and then was the AIS among our many other responsibilities, I would like to mention that some lazy sailors/officers don't bother or simply forget to update their AIS info/status. It is a small giggle to check the AIS to see the ship passing you at 16 knots still broadcasting as "Moored."

Don't forget your basics/safety about tying up a ship. We recently did a STS bunkering and the 1AE was out on deck helping to throw lines on bits.
Also, PROPER crane flagging/signals. When you take a bunker barge, you might have to take their hose with crane assistance (barges will often have their own cranes), so knowing how to communicate with the operator will help.
