I use to be flight line maintainer, 2W1, and the Spec's needed someone to drive there truck. They grab my SrA ass and tell me to get to it. I go up to support call out for all the spec guys and this MSgt tosses a box onto the truck and gets in. I just kinda looked at him funny and asked him how he was. He said he was find and to drop him off at dock such and such. I figured he was just gonna ride around check on his guys and then go back to the office so i say sure thing and take him out. We get there and he grabs his box, says thanks and he will call me on the radio if he needs anything then proceeds to get to work. I asked around and found out he refuses to sit in an office, made MSgt, and still works the line. From what I know he never made SMSgt but thats what he wanted and they just let him.

Thats good to know. I did a bit of searching when I asked him and I couldn't find anything that listed it as a major problem.

I was talking to my brother, he is a chem eng, about Thorium reactors and why they weren't around yet. He said that if you get past economics of it that the liquid fluoride is super corrosive and that it would just est through system parts. Is this true and if so has it been solved or would you just have a lot of upkeep?
