Could you elaborate more on that I'm not to sure what it's implying?

Being an inside sales in rep in SF for the last 5 years I feel like I can speak to this point somewhat. While I've always felt we should be paid a higher base ($30k base seems the norm in all 3 companies I've worked for), it won't happen.

Companies that use a larger inside sales force are simply playing a numbers game. They know that 20% of their sales force is going to produce 80% of the revenue. Those 20% are fine where they are because they're making commission. Yelp is fine with the other 80% who aren't producing being unhappy and leaving so that they can cycle through the next class of reps and find the next few top 20% earners.

It's a dirty system that feeds on the young and inexperienced and on the old and out of work. Best advance is to learn other valuable skills while there and move on in 2 years.

Yo! Just wanted to say I've much enjoyed watching you guys come up from the dredges of IV to the world stage.

How hard is to come with fresh material while still staying true to your roots?
