Some might say it is the drug. In the US it's use is a social grace, not only accepted but encouraged, and also a huge blight on it's healthcare system, both mental and physical.

I bartended and partied for two decades. I've seen the ups and the inevitable downs. These days I'm strictly cannabis and feel comfortable in my own skin again.

Shout out to /r/stopdrinking. If drinking isn't fun anymore swing by and lurk a while. I did that 5 years ago and have been without hooch for 4 years now. It can be done.
