I don't think you or anyone else who eats meat is a monster, but I do think it's wrong to kill someone who doesn't want to die. We tend to think of other animals like they belong in a completely different category from us and our companion animals, but they want to live and enjoy their lives just like we do. Humans can just as well eat something else.

Almost all meat, dairy and eggs come from factory farms, it's really hard to avoid it. When you buy those products you finance the factory farms directly. It would help a lot if you would stop buying animal products all together! Or you could eat a few plant based meals a week if you feel giving up all animal products is to daunting.

Reduce the amount of chicken meat and eggs you eat. The website in the OP shows a video with chickens living in awful conditions, but these are not abuses only related to Aramark. The meat that is sold in the super market comes from the same kind of farms. We can all help solve this issue by boycotting factory farms, or at least reduce our consumption of their products.

animals are like us, their intellect and they have emotions like fear as well.
Realizing this is what made me stop eating meat. Animals don't want to die and we can eat something else just as well.

That video is so sad. Especially since by far the most land animals killed for food are chickens. What steps do you think are necessary to eliminate factory farms? Are you optimistic about the future of animal rights and welfare?
