Fellow Eurobubbler here.

  1. Do you agree Thursday night at Plux is vastly over-hyped? (Unless it's sunny and you're getting a beer from the Deli, of course.)

  2. Any stereotypes to share on assistants from different unis? College of Europe, Maastricht, Oxbridge, LSE...

  3. How the hell did you get in? Are you (a) from a small country, (b) from an expat family that speaks 30 languages, (c) have some nice contacts on the inside, or (d) one of those guys that did 1,000 extracurricular activities? (Totally not bitter.. I'll just be chilling in my little NGO near you guys...)

Around the same period: The Thirty Years War makes for a good story. Starts off with a guy being thrown out of a window and devolves into all-out religious civil war involving all the main powers. It's also traditionally seen as the origin of our modern conception of a state.

Hello Senator Sanders,

Thank you for your time. Here’s a question from an interested European.

It’s regarding perception. It seems the American media has already begun spreading the narrative that you are an unlikely contender. So, I have to ask, how will you ensure that your campaign does not meet the fate of past failed campaigns of so-called ‘hard’ left candidates? That is to say, how will you avoid, or respond to, belittling (or even complete omission) by the media? Here, I think of Ralph Nader in 2000 and George McGovern in 1972. Internationally, we also saw this happen to Ed Miliband’s attempted shift to the left in Britain.

Is it even avoidable?

Thank you again.

a) can mostly help you if you want a job as a civil servant (because you have quotas per Member States, and it's harder to find people from the small ones),

Is that not also the case with traineeships?

I simply applied for an internship with a MEP, got lucky adn made my through ever since :)

Mmhmm, gooo ooonn... What's your profile like? Gotta help us dox you somehow. ;)

I'm going on my third application attempt and it feels Sisyphean. It appears I'm a peasant with only 2.5 languages, 4 internships in EU affairs and a Masters from a Russell Group university. Totally. Not. Bitter. Gaaaaaahhhhhh....

I think it's no secret to say that Bush was a very controversial President. So, to put things in a different light, what would you say were President George W. Bush's main accomplishments while in office? Where do you feel he was unfairly criticized?
