Thank you for the clarification. I sincerely hope that Carrie and Quinn find some happiness for themselves, whether together or apart as they are both such complex characters that it would be incredibly sad to leave them as "lost souls" when the show wraps up.

Why was Quinn so quick on giving up his relationship with Carrie before it even started?

The chemistry between those two characters was CLEAR from the first episode when Quinn and Carrie met. That's not often clearly depicted onscreen in many shows, movies, etc., It seems effortless--though I know the work you all put into it is tremendous.
