We produced a preview version of a CSV export (which has to be a CSV to be submitted to a third party). About 90% of the bugs clients reported to us relating to it turned out to be Excel dropping leading zeros on dates, membership reference numbers, etc. This crap damages our reputation and clients aren't going to jump through hoops in order to get it to open properly.

It's astonishing that after so long this problem is still here, we don't just put these 0s in the file for shits and giggles, they're important!

One of our exports includes bank sort codes, sometimes Excel will change a few of them to dates if the client re-saves the file in Excel.

Alton Towers isn't "largely safe", it's unbelievably ridiculously safe. Statistically there are few things you can do with your time that's safer. One of the reasons for this is because at that type of park you have virtually no control over anything, everything is managed by the park and has multiple levels of safety systems and procedures requiring a massive fuckup for anything to go wrong (such as the incident you mentioned where an engineer overrode the safety system without doing the required visual check of the ride).

For clarity, it crashed because the flight crew were stupid and performed a test to demonstrate a safety system was functioning correctly in a circumstance that left them unable to recover in the event that it wasn't.

If there was no possibility that the system wasn't functional there would be no point in doing the test in the first place.

So while true that there was an AOA sensor failure, the actual cause of this crash was the irresponsibility of the flight crew.

Anyway, he was clearly gay and even if he was a pedo he would've had no interest in her daughter anyway.

That's not true actually, there is little in the way of correlation between the gender of adults someone is attracted to, and the gender of children they are attracted to. Age/maturity is the overridding factor in the latter case.

This is why 1/3 of victims can be boys yet gay men only make up 2-5% of the population, because most men abusing boys are heterosexual with regards to adults.
