Oh I really hope I'm not too late on this.

I'm starting my university course to train as a mental health nurse in March next year, and I am considering applying to prisons before hospitals. I have a couple of questions for you. If they're duplicates, please let me know and I'll find them myself through your other responses!

1. What is the worst thing that an inmate has done/attempted to do to you? Both verbally and physically.
2. Do you find it difficult to treat them fairly if you learn that they have a more serious conviction?
3. What is your favourite thing about working at a prison?
4. Why did you choose a prison over nursing in any other facility?
5. How often do prisoners fake or inflict injuries on themselves to get time away from their wing?

To be honest with you, after reading the replies here people seem to believe that in a similar situation with health needs they would just tough up and pay the thousands of dollars, when they could just go back to school and have the majority covered. You all seem to be judging him pretty harshly.

I'm assuming that for everything with a serial number they keep track of order numbers and serial numbers for reasons like this.
