OP says the thing she fears the most is missing watching her siblings grow up, it made me curious, are you able to perceive people's ages easily? Can you tell by touch or sound what has changed about someone over an extended period of time? That was an awesome post and thanks for any answer you can provide.

In the worst possible case, you will still be able to be parts of their lives and understand them and hear how they grow, flowers will always smell nice, and there's always braille and readers!

Sorry! I can totally see how it would be weird, have never known a blind person and based my assumptions off of what I've seen in movies, etc.
