Do you feel the lack of music reading ability sets you back?(I cant read music)

Would you say there's a difference between the way you become a professional classic player and an ordinary professional musician(A "rock star", not a session musician)?

You said you tried to write your own stuff and it ended badly. Have you thought of playing in a band so that all the writing will be split evenly between the players?
