I also want to thank Dr. Drew for what he does and any other mental health professionals who might be reading this.

This is pretty much my exact same story minus my mother killing herself. I'm very sorry for your loss, allenizabeth. I've successfully talked her into going to counseling, which took many, many years. If I hadn't been able to talk to her about how it helped me so much she might have killed herself.

Because of all my experiences and the unending vat of empathy and patience I have after the things I've went through I want to devote my life to mental health counseling. End goal is to be a LCSW.

The most important thing that Drew said recently that struck home with me was on Celeb Rehab. Someone wanted so much for one of their parents to be supportive and they weren't. Drew told him that while that would be amazing he isn't going to get that. That was an amazingly powerful statement for me in dealing with my own family. It was something I just couldn't make myself believe. I always hoped something would change within my family and I realized they never will. I can only make things better for my own children.

Life only started to be REALLY good in the last few years. I'm 30 now. I was so excited to turn 30 because I really felt that it will be an amazing time for me after the hardships before in the rest of my life.

And I want to say to anyone reading that the best way to show someone how much you love them and care about them is to LISTEN. Please, just listen.

My questions are: What is your reaction to the Supreme Court's ruling in the Hobby Lobby contraception case? Do you feel this sets a dangerous precedent regarding religious freedom in the United States?
