Thank you for taking time to reply. I certainly agree, Colombia really is an inspiring country as you describe. The country's fascinating history of hardship and development, together with its diversity of landscape, beautiful flora & fauna and passionate population, there is so much character and immense potential. Despite the troubles that exist, I'll be glad to return there in two months. Thanks again Wagner, and good luck with season 2, looking forward to it. Regards from the UK!

I wouldn't want to detract too much from Wagners AMA, so I'll just say that my work involves venturing to more remote areas of the world, and in doing so in Colombia I interacted with guerilla/paramilitary narco's directly on multiple occasions. The most unsettling being close to Cali but also in north eastern Colombia. Despite Colombia's achievements and obvious level of development, the narco/guerilla/paramilitary problems are still rampant in the more rural areas which inevitably seep into urban areas. I felt this was primarily due to the persisting social inequality/complexity (which Wagner alluded to) but is exacerbated simply by the country's sheer expanse, which both enable and fuel the illicit narcotic industry's capacity. Colombia really is a gem in this world and would recommend everyone to visit if only once in their life. Truly a beautifully diverse, historically fascinating and an inspiring country!

Hello (Sir) David! Intrepid, ornithological-fanatic, Attenborough-inspired Brit here...
Out of all of nature's wonders that you've experienced over the years, which animal never ceases to amaze you and why?

Hola Wagner, having recently returned from Colombia and unfortunately experienced the darker side of modern day narcos, most notably in Cali, I would like to ask for your reflection on modern Colombia and it's narco problems? Gracias y buena suerte con tu trabajo!
