I watched the press conference on NASAtv. They did a little intro talking about how they didn't know how much damage was done to the launchpad yet and that there is no immediate necessity to get supplies to the ISS as they have planned contingencies and there was nobody hurt. They also mentioned that there were firefighters on scene cordoning off the whole area and containing the fire.
Then one of the press asked "What's going to happen to the astronauts that are already on board the ISS?"
Someone else asked "Are there firefighters on scene cordoning off the whole area and containing the fire?"
I can't remember exactly what the other ones were, but those were probably the biggest facepalm moments. It's almost as if they didn't bother listening to the introduction.

I used to teach kindergarten. One memory I had was just hilarious in how bizarre it was.
We were all lining up to go wash our hands before snack time and I had this one kid, named Edward. He was a little bit strange, but he was a sweet boy and his mother was always particularly kind. He was in line behind Alice. Alice was such a quiet girl and always shy.
Anyways, Edward turns towards Alice, smiles, then vomits all over her. Alice is crying, and Edward is just standing there with a smile on his face. I asked Edward if he was feeling alright and he said he was and kept the big smile on his face. I ended up getting my TA to take Alice to get a change of clothes and get cleaned up. To this day I don't know why he did that.

I worked for Walmart and The Great Atlantic Superstore on separate occasions doing very similar jobs and did a ton of "store use" stuff at Superstore but never at Walmart.
