I was in the JROTC in high school in the late 90s. I was hot shit on the drill team, and man do I miss that. Do you know of any jobs for adults where I can be praised again for being really good at getting dressed, without signing up for a job that might entail killing people?

What was the smallest tip you've gotten? (Mine was $0.02.)

I've been having difficulty getting into graduate school (for a math Ph.D. program), and I attribute that largely to the fact that I have only been able to get two letters of recommendation from my alma mater, both in the form of PDFs that they expect me to deliver myself rather than have them send them. These are the only two professors with doctorates who knew me well. (There was a third professor who knew me well, but he's only got a MS.) In the mean time, I'm teaching with my own MS at a small private university with only three full time math faculty including myself, and the only Ph.D. is our department head, but her degree is in math education and not math.

I really want to teach differential equations and linear algebra and calculus and higher classes, but here I only teach freshman algebra. I'm quite sure I'll need a Ph.D. for that.

Can you advise me on getting into a program? Would a third letter of recommendation from my boss, even given her background, help my application? Should I be more aggressive about getting my old professors to mail letters of recommendation for me?
