Ha! Then you are in even more desperate need for every little dollar they give you!

Why can i spot the color difference between milk or cream ice coffee and your staff never can, yet they insist its milk when they clearly put cream? Every time.

Yes definitely, its the same for everyone. It is much harder to put an illusion on a whole country however than it is to have this illusion in a resort region.
The difference here is that there have been several journalists and investigators including UN officials reporting observations like this. There is even video evidence of this in a few documentaries out there.
Now I can't judge how common of an occurrence this is since I have only witnessed it through biased documentaries... But it does exist.

Have you ever researched north korea? Sure the interview was a fictional satire but there are plenty of raw footage documentaries about NK showing similar phenomenon. One that comes to mind is a store where nearly all items are only for demo, not for sale.
It seems to me like the ski resort is a nice isolated location where they can welcome tourists and keep them in a bubble where the illusion is maintained without too much surveillance because of the location. You said it yourself, you need a guide when ever you leave the complex.
Do you not have the impression that your perception of NK is being fabricated with what you are shown?
