What do you think about the regulations preventing women from pursuing combat positions in the Army (and military in general)? If such regulations didn't exist and assuming you had had the aptitude and opportunity would you have pursued such a position within the Army?

Edit: To be clear to people seeing this question the regulations I was referring to are the ones which create the restrictions seen on this page.

You are correct. The ACM (for those who aren't CS people, they are the organization for computer science papers and conferences) explicitly allows it (although they don't need to because it's implied under their copyright agreement anyway).

As an aside it likely comes from all of those open source values in our community.

Which I think was sort of the point, he could have murdered a random person off the street (serial killer, evil status), or murdered a gangster that had fucked over his life (vigilante, his own morals but wrong by society).
