Because she has everything possible about her condition confused. She has the mechanism of it wrong, and has some really strange ideas about how the whole thing works. As I've read through, I've come to the conclusion that she has regular old dermatographic urticaria and is embellishing everything else, if not outright lying.

She believes that the way her hormones react to sugar makes her "allergic" to it, as in, needs an epipen because she can go into anaphylaxis. She also says she "consumes a lot of sugary foods". Also that cutting sugar doesn't make a difference. That's pretty bizarre if true. A sugar allergy that can cause these problems, but eating it doesn't cause an itchy or swollen tongue or throat? Hmm.

It's possible she does need an epipen potentially though- I believe that very rarely the release of histamines can end up with the person having a reaction like that. She says people have written 666 on her forehead while sleeping - the forehead is not an area that dermographia tends to show up on. But if it's particularly bad, I suppose it's possible...

But, she believes that about 35g of sugar is released when there is pressure on her skin, and that causes her allergic reaction. She has tried a raw vegan diet to help this, and it didn't help ofc (because that's not what you'd do - you'd do a keto diet, or basically eat like a severe diabetic and you Dr would know this). That's not how it works - it's mast cells dumping histamines into your skin. Although allergy is generally the underlying cause.

"Sugar" is also not an allergen. So.

I was really surprised at how few posts ask the real questions or call her out, but I guess in part you had to read through her responses a bit to really get an idea of how much bullshit she is actually spewing. About the only true thing has been that she has dermatographic urticaria. Like .. The real proof to see would have been from some quack backing her words up lol

No she can't, because she has plain old dermographia like plenty of other people including myself, and she's lying/embellishing all this for attention.

It's generally caused by an allergy, yes, but sugar is not an allergen, 35g of sugar is not released when there is pressure on her skin, her hormones do not react with sugar to cause reactions like this.

Allergic to sugar but can "consume a lot of sugary foods" without a reaction? Really? Not even an itchy or swelling tongue or lips? She doesn't even seem to understand how mast cells work.
