Do you sometimes censor yourself? Do you have limits? I haven't seen you avoid any offensive subjects, but would you occasionally avoid some in certain circumstances? To take an extreme example, would you have dared a public 9/11 joke a week after the terrorist attacks?

I remember seeing this on the news here. Think what you want about Bush, but that was indeed a very compelling and historic moment, and his "I can hear you" are stuff historical quotes are made of.

Yeah, I heard that "The Duellists" has well regarded sword fighting scenes from martial arts specialists of that time period.

It's also a fantastic movie.

I've only recently discovered your Old Man's War series, and have read the first two books. Just binged them in a couple days each. Great reads and thank you for your work.

What are your favourite SF movies?

You speak of your eye lids or whatever blocking your eye view unless you lifted your brows... Is this a recurrent problem amongst Asians? I've heard it before.

I know that eyelid surgery isn't totally uncommon with Asians, but surely most of the time it's for purely aesthetic reasons, encouraged by Western standards of beauty.

It's hard to believe that through evolution, or rather differentiation, a fairly significant number of Asians somehow developed such a handicap, especially a handicap to our (humans) main sense (vision).
