Weev may not be a good person, he may be an asshole/bigot/whatever, and you probably don't see eye-to-eye with the GNAA. However, that should have no bearing on the issue at hand, everyone deserves a fair trial.

I feel that if weev were known as a 'good' guy and upstanding citizen that he would have a lot more support here.

The legal issue at hand here affects professionals in the field as well as everyday internet users. If someone can be sent to prison for accessing a public web server and selling the information that's collected, nobody is safe.

What he's done is no different than typical data mining

Why the hell are we sending this guy to prison for this while allowing corporate criminals guilty of heinous crimes walk for a few measly dollars?

I'm curious what seismic activity could mean for active volcanoes in WA. Even if we don't see a "big one" soon, how concerned should we be about seismic activity with respect to volcanic activity? Will there be warning signs?
