Business Bankers get a lot of shit for opening a business package without some sort of credit line. This is monitored very closely by the bank.

The banker was looking through call lists for someone to make a sale to. You didn't have a savings account, so you were a prospect. The $25 transfer is required to keep the account free. Everything sounds legitimate.

All large banks are the same. Chase, BoA, Citi... Working at Wells I've known bankers who have been all around.
