It's actually useful, because you know what's happening everywhere without having to look around. Where I use to work, some fryers had their computer replaced with various models so they had a different tone. When you get to know every sound, you get very efficient.

Some asshats think that the snow plow is going too slow.

Some people don't like them because they like to drive as fast a usual when there is snow on the road. Plows go slow and are hard to overtake.
