What is your thoughts on the Australian way of handling the boat refugees/asylum seekers by putting them into detention centers?

Hopefully the EU can be a leader in processing and helping refugees and show a better example in a humanitarian way of helping these people in need, thank you for all the work you are doing and maybe one day you can help those in the oceanic region of the world one day.
