Hi Jon, I love Bar Rescue and am a huge fan of yours.

When you choose a bar to rescue, do you and your producers ever worry that the owners are looking for you to come in and revamp their bar just so they can then go and sell it for a profit? Do you put certain conditions on the owners to prevent this from happening?

It is the same reason there is a SOL for other crimes, after a certain amount of time, it becomes difficult if not impossible to collect evidence. Physical evidence deteriorates. Memories fade and/or warp. And because the burden is on the State to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, it poses a very difficult challenge, both in terms of time and money to prosecute someone when it ends up amounting to a he said/she said.

Sorry if this is a layman question, but is it possible that the future of ISPs is in wireless only delivery? Meaning no fiber will be necessary? Or is that impractical?

You're speaking from emotion, which is understandable as it is an emotional subject. But, like it or not, the accused have rights and those rights include a high burden for criminal prosecution by the State. And with that high burden comes logistical challenges in proving that a person committed a crime beyond a reasonable doubt.

If a 30 year old person, a 25, 20, 15, 10, and 5 year old person. All say the same person abused them. Is that not evidence?

It is one type of evidence. And sometimes it is enough to convict a person of a particular crime depending on the credibility and circumstances of it. But as time goes on, it is far more difficult for that evidence to be gathered. What if one of the accusers has a terrible memory? They get dates wrong, they get certain facts wrong (even if inconsequential)? All of this is understandable as people lack perfect recollection. But if you are putting someone on trial with intent of depriving them of their liberty, then all these problems can put doubt into the minds of a jury that the accuser is credible in their accusations. Its not fair and it isn't justice, but society has decided that it is better to put a high burden on the prosecution.
