Hey Sammy! I grew up in Fontana too, circa I Can’t Drive 55. It was so cool to see you on MTV! No one was from Fontana, even though it’s only 50 miles from LA, you were a total legend. I’m pretty sure you joining Van Halen made them the biggest band in SB county.

Every so often there’d be a party or something and someone would be like, dude, see that house across the street? That’s Sammy Hagar’s <add relative>’s house! Which it probably wasn’t. Anyways, do you ever get back that way?

You are awesome! Can you maybe edit your original post to stress that it's not very painful? I think that's a point that gets lost - and is getting lost in this thread (atm). My guess is more people would sign up if they knew.

Also, a note: bone marrow registries desperately need matches from people of color. A friend of a friend passed away this year because she was not white and couldn't find a match. :(
