Do you think you will stick with Aircraft mechanic when your done your service? Can you retrain and get certified to fix civilian aircraft easy enough?

So are you tipping the staff like a champ given that they cover gratuities? Or am I missing something?

So my decision to tough out my PhD for another year or so, just so I can teach high school, might actually make me happy in the long-run? I think you just made me happy now.

Is there a "fear" of getting something "too early". Like getting some implant now, when we know the technology will improve? Do people hold off waiting for things to improve? I imagine getting an implant is a big deal and many are not easily upgradable or could even be a one-time deal.

You should "guest-narrate" one of your own articles in the audio edition (the only edition I consume). My imagining of the Economist editorial and writing staff is the same set of 4-5 BBC voices I hear each week (they also don't credit writers as they narrate).
