Not OP but as a Scot I would like to answer this.

My lineage is all over the place. My mum's side is Lithuanian, my dad's side is anywhere between Irish, Dutch, German or Scandinavian. I've been born and raised Scotland all of my life and I don't think of myself as anything other than Scottish.

You only have to look at Scots-Asians from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh who appear to integrate really well and get along with folk in their own community.

Scotland really needs migrants now more than ever and I wouldn't feel comfortable knowing my own genetic history was being judged literally in a "no true Scotsman" sense any more than migrants who arrive in Scotland.
