We already have 9 cases and counting - all solely travel related. The current lack of ferries and access to rural communities is incredibly alarming. Yes., tourism is a huge deal in Alaska but there are some things (like a global pandemic??) that should always always always take precedence. People's lives matter. We matter!

Now is a very good time to see who really cares about us and who couldn't be bothered to take this seriously (outside of their immediate circle, of course) if it means any sort of sacrifice. Don't even get me started on Don Young's bullshit move to fly up from the lower 48 and immediately have a luncheon with 40+ seniors. Telling them to not worry about the "beer virus" and to continue on with their regular activities. Meanwhile his entire team is working remotely. This turned into more of a rant than anything.. For what it's worth, you've got my support from the peninsula! What's your next move?
