in my defense, i watched a documentary sometime back about film photography and i remember them altering images physically and they called the places “photoshops” i guess i’m wrong about them naming them after that but i was sure that the term predated the program

no it was more than touch ups, it was all types of things like adding and removing things from photos, splicing ect.

photoshop was actually a term before the software. they named the software after the term
