Speaking for myself, I can count on two hands how many times I have been a consumer in a 4 star restaurant. It seems to me the majority of food reviews by professional food writers are for these types of establishments. They treat food like an art form and combinations of flavors like a symphony. Are these food establishments the goal of fine dinning or are they just an elite setting that I have been some how taught is "the best".

I eat hamburger helper almost once a week. Its cheap filling and easy. Many food shows and food reviews specialize in simplicity but with great flavors. If they are so great, why aren't I eating them instead of hamburger helper? IS the problem ME? The culture I was raised in? Perhaps is the lack of willingness of me to try new foods. I'll tell you, when I try these, they taste like dog shit 90% of the time. Is my pallet simply not refined enough?

If the problem is me, or the culture I was raised in. Why do food magazines feel I would find things other than what I"m accustomed too, appealing?

When you sit down in front of person in power and ask them ridiculous questions while keeping a straight face, are you ever worried they will attack you?

See this is really my point. I'm not alone in my opinion, but you will never see a prepackaged food review anywhere on food network. Hamburger helper makes a great meal. Rice A Roni is a quality side dish. Microwaved burritos are great for breakfast. Many people consume these in greater quantity, then whats on the front page review on this persons website.

You could think these are trivial and 'average' but honestly a long decision making process occurs when i'm in the instant pasta isle.

This is the type of thing the average person consumes on a regular basis, why then do most food reviewers look down on this type of food? Clearly they are attempting to make me care about something I obviously don't wish to consume.

My wife and I constantly discuss (argue) about the merits of other worldly travels. Do you have any 'check mate' reasons that I could explain to her why what you are doing is say more important than researching cancer cures, under sea exploration, human being first projects like providing a stable fresh water source for some Africans?

EDIT: I personally have links already to all the products/gains/sciences because of the space age, but I'm looking for something I could appeal to her on a more Put in this = Receive this type of thing.

What are the odds of ebola becoming an air born illness or perhaps 'morphing' into something with an alternate form of contagion?
