First, let me start off by saying what a big fan of you and Star Trek, in general, that I am. I cannot thank you enough for what you did, along with the rest of the cast, to help the Civil Right Movement. I even had the pleasure of meeting you in person at a convention in Nashville a few years back.

However, I came here to apologize, not to ask you a question. When it was your time to sign autographs, my aunt (who I was attending the convention with) fell ill and I had to go and get your autograph for her, as you are her favorite TOS cast member. Well, here is where I fucked up and what I'm apologizing for. I entered the large room where the autographs were taking place, and I saw 3 long lines along with a large area for chairs. I immediately got in the line for your autograph, and waited for my turn. I eventually worked my way up the line and got your autograph, all the while numbers were being called out and people were filing into the lines. After I got your autograph, I walked out of the convention hall. Shortly afterwards, I noticed I still had the 50-75$ in my pocket for the autograph. I then realized that I was supposed to go pay, get a number, and sit down waiting for my number to be called, then get in line.

TLDR: At a convention a few years back, I didn't know the procedure and accidentally stole an autograph from you. Please forgive me!

I told myself if I ever got the chance I would apologize to you. So, is my apology accepted?
