I work in a affluent Jewish area. I don't know a lot about the practice, but I was told that a mature woman will wear a wig so that her natural hair is covered so that it can only be enjoyed by her, her husband and the one above. Based on that information, whenever I'm out, especially during holy days, where everyone is walking, I think if I were those women I'd say "Yeah, okay. So I'll cover my hair cause I'm reverent, but uhhh, I'm still gonna slay, soooo..."
