So, some tanks and other armored vehicles are built to withstand, as best they could, a nuclear blast and shield the crew from the aftereffects. Are those abilities of friendly vehicles ever considered when presenting the president with nuclear strike options, and does the president even have the authority to nuke a position where friendlies in those vehicles are still present, knowing that they have a better chance of survival than the enemy targets would?
